About Captive Liberty

The poems and short stories on this blog are intended to be enjoyed by readers of any tradition or of none in particular.

I treasure any and all comments, whether they express dissent, synchronicity, or scorn. If a post stirs a thought within you, no matter how inconsequential, please share it in the comments section.

May these verses carry the plasmate of culture through the generations, to my inheritors, centuries hence.

The Spirit of the Lord GOD is on Me,

because the LORD has anointed Me

to preach good news to the poor.

He has sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted,

to proclaim liberty to the captives

and freedom to the prisoners,

to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor

and the day of our God’s vengeance,

to comfort all who mourn

Isaiah 61:1-2
