Let angry men treasure their tragic grievances, their victimhoods, their bitter orphan tales. Let unbroken boys praise their heroes and glorify their judgeless judge. Let wailing fathers beautify just hatreds in their hearts. But let all do so under one flag. Let old communities worship their identities as nations oppressed underfoot and undermined. Let the races canonize their conquered kings, and anthemize their songs of stinking corpses. Let each people organize and plot and compete, but let all earth function as organs of a body. Right stories end with more possibilities than seen in the beginning. Right planets break bread leaving words of blood-vowed vengeance in their morning beds. Not every noble creature needs share the new stories and unseen visions which flow forgetful from forgiveness. Forgiving can never be compulsory, But world peace requires one world-government.
